EDIT Nov13, 2012: I typed the text for a better reading and also changed some things so they're more understandable

Sorry for my writing [=w=]; Sorry for my english [=w=];; I don't know if this is any good [=w=];;; But I felt like doing this tutorial after the last one for all the Gimp users out there (and not only).

I would like to know if this helps any of you. [>w<] Comments are welcome

Oh! You can use the 'ruku-ruku' pattern X'D If you want. Tell me if you use it ^^' 'cause I'm curious

im sorry, but where i can find the dotted pattern in GIMP interface?? :(

The gimp does the dotted pattern with a "filter". Go to the "filters" in the menu and in "distorts" click "newsprint" :) (Be sure you have your image grayscale)

thank you for your help. just wondering is it OK to use 'new from visible' option for new layer from second layer?

As long as you don't get confused with it that's ok ^^. The "new from visible" option will create an extra merged layer & you'll have to delete the original 2 that were merged. I think it's easier to keep the 2 layers in the middle visible and merge them in one layer.

The Ruku-Ruku pattern is actually knotwork.

But thank you for the tutorial though.
