that's a deviantart thing/problem.. I wish there were more categories that accept GIFs (by the way, I plan to make a new tutorial about animation with the gimp. I'm just not finding the time to do that

It depends on the memory usage.. If you have a lot of brushes/patterns.. If the image is too big and has a LOT of layers...>v< Yeah, then it may crash XD

Maybe you should have optimized it first. So the file wouldn't be too big? Also, sometimes da is just too slow >>;
